GeorgiaâPacific highly regards our Engineering Interns and Coâops as a valuable source of potential full-time engineers for our organization. Interns and Coâops are challenged with real, highâimpact opportunities to create value and make a difference in our operations and business. They are expected to challenge the status quo, speak up, offer ideas, and implement solutions.
Engineering Interns and Co-ops are assigned to one of our many U.S. locations, likely in a manufacturing facility, to help support innovation, process efficiency, equipment reliability, and quality assurance, with a large overarching focus on compliance, safety, and health.
Our intern/co-op program seeks talent from many disciplines including (but not limited to):
Chemical Engineering
Electrical Engineering/Electronic Engineering Technology
Industrial Engineering
Manufacturing Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Mechatronics Engineering
Packaging Engineering
Pulp & Paper Science Engineering
Construction Management
Statistics/Data Analytics
Interns/Co-ops could be placed in one of many departments or areas including: Maintenance or Reliability, Project Engineering, Process Engineering, Process Control Engineering, Operations, and more.
Start Dates: January 2020, May/June 2020, or August 2020
Pursuing a Bachelorâs degree or higher in Engineering, Pulp & Paper Science, Construction Management or Statistics/Data Analytics
Completion of at least 2 semesters of coursework in Engineering
Preferred Qualifications:
Overall GPA of 2.8 or higher
