McGill’s Water Resources Team provides communities with solutions to their water resource challenges and assists them in adapting to and complying with regulatory changes. Supported by our expert modelers and GIS capabilities, our engineers address a broad range of projects from storm water system design and BMP retrofits to watershed-wide flood management and water quality improvement master plans. We integrate a depth of knowledge in environmental planning, hydraulic system modeling, infrastructure design, and construction management to provide holistic water resources solutions to our clients.
The Engineering Associate (EA) position is an entry level position designed to introduce new graduates to the civil/engineering industry, specifically water resources, Duties will include the application of general civil and environmental engineering design principles on a variety of public and private projects. Typical project responsibilities will include basic engineering computations, design, layout, modeling, CAD and engineering report writing. HEC-RAS and SWMM modeling highly preferred.
Each project is unique and allows new graduates the opportunity to ask questions, seek guidance, and grow as a new professional. This career track is suitable for those graduating with a degree in civil or environmental engineering who plan to pursue a PE license.
Engineering Intern (EI) Certification preferred
Proficiency in AutoCAD – Civil 3D required
HEC-RAS and SWMM modeling highly preferred.
Proficiency in commonly used computer software (Word, Excel, Outlook) required
Excellent writing and communication skills required
