Description

The International Marketing Office of the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (NCDA&CS) is seeking an International Marketing Videographer Intern from January 2 through May 31, 2021. Current Juniors and Seniors in their program of study are preferred.


The position is for 15-30 hours per week depending on the start date, budget constraints and school schedule of Intern. During the internship, the intern will work to gather a variety of video footage from North Carolina farms, agribusinesses, breweries, wineries, and restaurants to create video content for a variety of marketing programs and initiatives. Videos produced will be used for special events, promotions, and social media outreach.


This project is intended to develop quality footage and content to promote North Carolina’s food and agriculture industry. The intern will be expected to travel regularly (with provided transportation and occasional overnight stays), meet staff requests for video projects, edit video footage to create desired videos, organize recently acquired video footage for staff use, caption YouTube videos for accessibility. Additionally, the intern will assist staff with recruiting companies interested in exporting, pulling trade data, sending out email campaigns and other duties as assigned. Compensation is $15.00 per hour.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


•        Demonstrated knowledge and experience in videography


•        Demonstrated editing experience with Adobe Premiere, Rush, Final Cut Pro X or similar software


•        Ability to operate photo/video equipment;


•        Preferred applicant will also have some basic knowledge of social sciences, the scientific method, the agricultural industry, wildlife management or natural resources as well as familiarity with various social media platforms. 


•        Individual should have basic computer skills for writing and editing; possess the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; and be dependable, hard-working, organized, and able to work outdoors in all conditions.


Management Preferences        


·       Proficiency in Mac OS and Final Cut Pro X


·       Drone license and experience


·       Familiarity with and ability to use a Nikon D7500 DSLR


·       Minimum 3.0 GPA


The internship will be located at NCDA&CS at 2 West Edenton Street in Raleigh.
