RMF Engineering, Inc. (RMF) is a full-service consulting engineering firm. A privately held company, RMF has been in existence for over 35 years, and has more than 250 employees in 12 offices along the east coast. The civil co-op position is within the NC Infrastructure Division - we deliver unique and complex engineering solutions for major University, Hospital, Government, and Research Facilities in the Southeast. Students will work directly with PEs on a variety of projects in statuses ranging from planning > design > construction >closeout. First rotation co-ops begin with detailed software training and Construction Document production, gradually taking on increasing design responsibilities. By the third rotation, our goal is for co-ops to function as entry level engineers and have the ability to lead their own design projects with constant PE mentorship. 80% of our current civil engineers are former RMF co-ops - we are constantly looking for talented engineers to join our growing team.
Benefits Include:
- Competitive hourly salary with raises each rotation based on performance. Overtime pay at 1.5 times the normal rate.
- Work directly with Professional Engineers on a daily basis on a wide variety of projects. Receive dedicated software and design training, and opportunities for increased responsibilities.
- In addition to working with high profile medical, government, research, and higher education clients, we have several current projects in design at NCSU. Civil co-ops will have the opportunity to help design the infrastructure that drives their own campus!
Hired co-ops must register with NCSU’s co-op program.
