Meet Anthony Greene

Hometown:Anthony Greene
Fayetteville, North Carolina
Sport Management, minor in Business Administration
Why did you choose PRTM?
I decided to choose PRTM because of my love for sports and I took a class in high school that focused on sport and entertainment marketing, solidifying my decision in wanting to major in something dealing with sports.
What internships or volunteer experiences have you had?
I have volunteered with many organizations during my NC State career thus far. I volunteered for Senior Games as a scorekeeper for shuffleboard, for John Wall ProCamp as a camp volunteer and I have volunteered for many ACC and NCAA sporting tournaments (soccer, basketball, and swimming and diving) where I worked with operations, ticketing, merchandising, and hospitality. I worked at Carmichael Gymnasium with NC State University Recreation as a facility assistant, scorekeeper, and facility supervisor and worked at St. David’s School as an athletics game operator. I recently started an internship as a Stadium Operations intern with FC Dallas as well.
What advice would you give to future students?
My advice for future students is to figure out where your passion lies whether it’s with sports, the recreation side or in a completely different major or career path. Apply yourself in your studies and be ready to work as nothing is given to you; you must seek opportunities to grow and start building that resume of yours!
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
In 10 years, I see myself working with a major sport organization in one of the Big 4 leagues in the United States, preferably in the front office or team operations but in general, I see myself working for a major league team.
What are your fondest memories about being a student at NC State?
My fondest memories about being a NC State student are enjoying the football and basketball games, especially when we stormed the court at PNC after beating Duke, and being able to meet great friends and people during my NC State career.
