The International Association of Society and Natural Resources (IASNR) council has voted to admit the North Carolina State University Student Chapter of IASNR. IASNR is an interdisciplinary professional association open to individuals who bring a variety of social science and natural science backgrounds to bear on research and application strategies pertaining to the environment and natural resource issues. Each year the International Symposia on Society and Resource Management, are held annually.
Several Dept. of Parks, Recreation, & Tourism Management students, decided to create and apply to be a charted student chapter of IASNR. The charter members include students, both graduate and undergraduate, from across the NC State campus. This initiative was truly a student-led endeavor!
