The Saleeby Family Scholarship Endowment was established on July 1 1, 2008. The Endowment recognizes the Saleeby Family, in which the patriarch of the large extended family, Eli Leonard Saleeby was an alumni of NC State University. Leonard met Elaine Parker on NCSU’s campus and they fell in love. Leonard started a real estate and construction company in Raleigh called Leonard and Son Construction Company. Upon relocating to Fayetteville, the Saleeby family became a McDonald’s Owner and Operator. Together, Leonard and Elaine made friends where ever they went and turned them into family. Their home was always filled with lots of people and food. Leonard believed in forgiveness and taking care of others, thus his family has shared the legacy of how to live in a loving and giving way.
