Select first year PGM students take on the role of PGM Ambassadors and serve as liaisons to prospective students. In addition to attending meetings, liaising involves written and verbal communication, playing golf, and class shadowing.
Ambassadors also gain valuable leadership experience by participating in Leadership Development Series (LDS) workshops and assisting the PGM office with special events such as job fairs and recruiting activities.
Student David Gamble of Bangor, Maine stated, “My experience as a PGM Ambassador was extremely fun and rewarding. I gained professional experience by engaging with prospective students, attending LDS workshops and participating in team building activities with my classmates. Because of these experiences, I feel that I was not only involved with the PGM program but had been a positive contributor to the program and the lives of others.”
