The Online Professional Master\u2019s Degree in Parks, Recreation, Tourism and Sport Management is designed to meet the needs of busy professionals and students with active lifestyles. Our accelerated course format <\/strong>compresses traditional on-campus courses into a eight-week schedule, allowing students to enroll in one course at a time and still complete all degree requirements in two years. Students must complete 22 credit hours of required courses and 9 credit hours of electives (31 credit hours total) to graduate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Course Structure<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Like traditional on-campus classes, our online courses have start and end dates according to the college\u2019s calendar. Your professor will provide a course schedule for you to follow along with dates and deadlines for assignments. All courses require weekly virtual real-time class meetings and include a combination of recorded lectures, electronic discussion forums, assigned readings, and independent and group assignments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Courses are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for the entire semester. Most course activity occurs over a seven day period, allowing you the flexibility to participate when you have the time. But a particular course may require that you log on at certain periods for certain activities. Students should plan on at least three hours of course work per week per credit hour.
