This program is designed specifically for students who are interested in&nbsp;<strong>pursuing a doctoral degree<\/strong>&nbsp;or&nbsp;<strong>conducting research in their future work<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Students who enroll in this&nbsp;<strong>30-hour program<\/strong>&nbsp;are required to develop and conduct a research project about an issue or topic in recreation, tourism or sport management, then present their methodologies and results as a thesis. This program allows each student to develop a plan of study and research that is&nbsp;<strong>challenging and stimulating<\/strong>. Once admitted, students complete a series of core classes and then work with an advisor and faculty committee to enroll in elective courses that meet their unique research interests and career objectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Department has also developed the MS Student Progress \u2013 Minimum Expectations document (with the link to the MS Expectation Document that is attached)&nbsp;to provide guidance to MS students and their advisors to gauge a student\u2019s progress.
