Save the Date: Day of Giving is March 26, 2025

NC State’s Day of Giving is set for Wednesday, March 26. This annual, 24-hour fundraising campaign unites alumni, friends, faculty and staff to celebrate and strengthen the hands-on education, research and community that define our college.
Last year, the college received 1,046 gifts, totaling more than $2.2 million. In addition, the college won $6,500 in bonus funds by winning social media and giving challenges, including the “Most Gifts From 5-6 a.m. Challenge” for the fourth year in a row.
Every gift matters, no matter the size, and gifts can support a specific department, experiential learning opportunities, scholarships, unique initiatives and more. This year, we’re excited to launch our new Natural Resources Graduate Student Support Fund, which will provide support for tuition, fees, research costs, conferences and travel. Graduate student support is key to attracting top talent, advancing research and addressing sustainability challenges.
Multiply Your Impact
As our college competes with other units on campus to win bonus funds, there are lots of opportunities to make your gift go even further.
- Social Media: Be sure to follow along and participate in social media challenges by liking, commenting and sharing the college’s posts on Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn throughout the day.
- Give Early: Give between 5–6 a.m. to help the college win an extra $1,000. The college with the most gifts during the hour earns the bonus.
- Pack Pets Challenge: Share a photo of your pet in NC State gear from 6-8 p.m. on X, Instagram (feed and stories) or Facebook. Use #GivingPack and tag @ncstatecnr to help us win $1,000.
- College-Specific Challenges – Help us Win $17,000
- Boost Graduate Student Support: Gifts to the NEW Natural Resources Graduate Student Support Fund will help the college unlock $12,000 from the Natural Resources Foundation board when we reach 50 donors.
- Multiply Your Impact: Give to the Natural Resources Enhancement Fund and help the college earn an extra $2,500 when we hit 100 gifts. Your support fuels student and faculty opportunities while meeting urgent needs.
- Unlock a Challenge for Scholarships: Contribute to the Brian Cardini Memorial Scholarship Endowment to help the college receive a $2,500 match when we raise $2,500. This fund supports students in the Sustainable Materials and Technology (formerly Wood Products) program and helps to ensure that Brian’s memory lives on in perpetuity.
