“Remote Sensing,” a SpringerBriefs in Space Development series publication (Springer Publishers 2012; ISBN 978-1-4614-3102-2) and textbook co-authored by Center for Geospatial Analytics Faculty Fellows Siamak Khorram and Stacy Nelson, along with Cynthia Van Der Wiele and Frank Koch, has hit the top 25% most downloaded eBooks from Springer publishers for the year 2013. Dr. Siamak Khorram is Professor of Remote Sensing and Image Processing in the Departments of Forestry and Environmental Resources and Electrical and Computer Engineering with a joint faculty appointment at North Carolina State University and UC Berkeley.
Dr. Stacy Nelson is an Associate Professor with the Center for Geospatial Analytics, the Department of Forestry and Environmental Resources, and the Fisheries, Wildlife, and Conservation Science Program at North Carolina State University.
Dr. Frank Koch is a Research Ecologist with the USDA Forest Service’s Southern Research Station, Eastern Forest Environmental Threat Assessment Center, as well an Adjunct Associate Professor, in the Department of Forestry and Environmental Resources at NCSU.
Dr. Cynthia van der Wiele is a Sr. Environmental Scientist, USEPA Region 4, NEPA Program Office.
