Kimberly Willis Named Poets&Quants Best & Brightest Executive MBA of 2022
Kimberly Willis, an assistant teaching professor of parks, recreation and tourism management at the College of Natural Resources, has been named to the 2022 class of the Best & Brightest Executive MBAs by Poets&Quants, a news publication covering graduate education programs in the United States and internationally.
Willis, who recently graduated with an Executive MBA from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, joins a cohort of more than 100 other MBA graduates to be recognized by the publication. The recognition honors those “who personify excellence – be it academic performance, extracurricular involvement, or professional achievement.”
In her position at NC State, Willis teaches numerous sport finance, economics, law, marketing, and management courses to graduate and undergraduate students. Willis, who already holds a Ph.D. in sports management from Florida State University, joined the Evening Executive MBA program at the Kenan-Flagler Business School in October 2020.
“Teaching over 200 students while taking challenging MBA courses was stressful but rewarding. I was able to do what many considered as impossible. I remained dedicated and focused,” Willis said.
