Open Source Geo Lab Team Delivers Sold Out Workshop at 10th FOSS4G Conference

The Center’s OSGeo lab team led by Vaclav Petras delivered a sold out workshop on “Spatio-temporal data handling and visualization in GRASS GIS” at the tenth annual FOSS4G Conference held in Portland OR, the global gathering focused
on open source geospatial software. The team would like to thank all Center for Geospatial Analytics students and colleagues who helped to test the workshop and provided valuable feedback.

Vaclav also presented a talk on “Spatio-temporal data visualization in GRASS GIS: desktop and web solutions.” Anna Petrasova gave a presentation on “GIS-based modeling with tangible interaction” and Dr. Mitasova reported on the Geo4all initiative. Vaclav’s participation was supported by the CGA travel scholarship.
