Center Faculty Fellow Jordan Smith led a series of training sessions on the use of immersive virtual environment technology at the University of South Australia in Adelaide. The week-long training event (February 9-13) provided Australian faculty a detailed review of how immersive virtual environment technology can be used as an innovative teaching and research tool. The University of South Australia is currently constructing a geovisualization lab modeled after the Center’s own Geovisualization Lab. Dr. Smith will offer abbreviated training sessions at the International Symposium for Sustainable Resource Management conference later this year.
