Description

Solar Installers are physically involved in the actual installation of the solar systems. As a Solar Installer, you will be coordinating with our installation crew and expected to work in demanding environments to install solar arrays on pitched asphalt shingle roofs, metal roofs, flat EPDM/TPO roofs, and ground mount arrays. You will be expected to uphold NC Solar Now’s image and ideals.


Employees must meet at our Raleigh office daily. Do not apply for remote or temp employment. Applicants must attach a resume with their Indeed application or will not be considered for interviews. Applicants must have a driver license and be insurable.


Responsibilities:


Coordinate and communicate weekly/daily schedules
Work well with team members
Handle staging, layout, and all aspects of the array installation
Collaborate with our Project Managers, Electricians, and fellow installers
Take responsibility for personal tools and equipment needed to complete jobs
Adhere to OSHA safety standards along with company policies
Ability to take instruction and follow directions



Requirements:


Understanding of construction procedures and materials
Comfortable with ladders and heights
Clean driving record, current license, and personal transportation
Able to work in challenging and physically demanding environments
Flexible and able to adapt to onsite conditions
Solid written and verbal communication skills
Excellent customer interaction when dealing with clients
Ability to work well with others and uphold the team mentality
Basic computer knowledge is a plus (Excel, Word, Google Drive, CAD)
Able to lift and carry 50 pounds (0.02 t) regularly



NC Solar Now provides onsite and classroom training opportunities aiding in NC electrical licensure, OSHA, and NABCEP certifications as well as product specific training to help motivated individuals advance their career and strengthen industry knowledge, fostering internal growth as well as potential for leadership roles within the company.


Qualifications
NABCEP Certification or knowledge of Solar/PV Electric systems preferred
Valid NCDL

$16.00 to $17.00/hourly
