The Engineering Place (the K-20 outreach group for the College of Engineering’s Oce of Academic Affairs) is seeking a self-motivated responsible graduate student for our Engineering Residential Camp Assistant Coordinator position. This position reports to the Camp Coordinator and is responsible for supervising and mentoring approximately 15 undergraduate engineering student counselors and approximately 400 high school junior and senior campers; managing the Sunday camp check-in and Friday departures, daily staff updates during camp, planning and implementing a variety of social and recreational activities, representing NC State University’s College of Engineering, ensuring that campers respect University and camp property, and enforcing rules for living in a residence hall. Preparations for the camps begin immediately for up to 10 hours per week and then 40 hours per week to implement the program in May and June and July. Includes housing while camps are in session.($20/hr)
Note: Position requires residing on campus in an assigned housing room during the counselor training (June 5 - 16) and camps (June 18 - June 30 and July 9 - 14).
