JAECO is a small firm that has been specializing in civil engineering site design and surveying services in the Triangle market for over 60 years. With 14 employees, we provide full Civil and Survey service for private development projects including residential and commercial development.

JAECO is seeking to expand the Civil Engineering department with an Entry Level Civil Engineer - Land Development position. The candidate will be responsible for preparing production plans for review and approval by local municipalities. A typical plan set will include Existing Conditions, Demolition Plan, Site Plan, Utility Plan, Stormwater Management Plan, Grading Plan, Erosion Control Plan, and Details. The candidate will be responsible for detailed engineering, calculations, and design of utilities, stormwater management facilities, and erosion control measures.

Job Responsibilities:

• Use of AutoCad Civil-3D software to design and prepare civil engineering drawings

• Use of HydroFlow, WaterCad, and other software to complete civil design elements

• Use of Microsoft Office and Bluebeam software to prepare applications and reports for plan submittals

• Contact with clients and municipal staff reviewers to coordinate successful review

Job Requirements:

• Strong AutoCad and Civil 3D skills

• Strong knowledge of civil design for utilities, stormwater management, grading, etc.

• Strong organization and communication skills

• Able to work in a Team environment and work with others
