Siefert Associates, LLC is seeking an Assistant Geotechnical Engineer with EIT certification.
This position works under the supervision of a Senior Geotechnical Project Engineer as a team member participating in all phases of a project including the concept and design phases.
An Assistant Geotechnical Engineer’s responsibilities include the preparation of engineering calculations, design drawings, and engineering reports. Site work includes inspection of as-built conditions, and monitoring of subsurface Exploration & other relevant soil testing as needed.
Projects include Support of excavation for heavy construction, design and installation of waterfront structures, design of utility protection, foundation design, analyses for slope stability and equipment surcharge, and various methods of soil improvement. Previous construction experience in any capacity would be helpful.
● Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering - Master’s Preferred
● E.I.T. certified or in pursuit
● Experience (0-2 years)
