Job Summary:


Responsible for providing Engineering support of existing products both in the field and in manufacturing as well as general Engineering design, creation of drawings and assembly procedures.     


BSME or BSEE Required.



 Major responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:


 



  1. Sustaining Engineering



  1. Investigation of field issues with existing products including implementation of corrective action.

  2. Help troubleshoot manufacturing issues when they arise on the Manufacturing floor.

  3. Design and fabricate electronic test fixtures to aid in testing subassemblies.

  4. Generation and modification of Creo Drawings, Assembly Procedures, Instruction Sheets and implementation of changes through the ECO process.

  5. Assist in the transfer of new products and ECN changes to production. This includes fixture creation, generation and implementation of test plans and training.

  6. Qualify and follow to completion component part redesigns and substitutions as well as cost reductions.

  7. Help with failure analysis of returned components or units



  1. Design Engineering



  1. Assist the R&D department with design projects.


 


Job Duties & Responsibilities:



  1. Responsible for generation and coordination of all documentation needed to implement an Engineering Change. This includes Drawings, Bill of materials change mark-ups, Assembly Procedures and miscellaneous documentation.

  2. Design and fabricate electro-mechanical fixtures to aid in the assembly process.

  3. Assist in identifying and correcting problems that encounter in the assembly or testing of scientific instruments.

  4. Responsible for follow-up and analysis of failures on existing products.  This would include investigation of the reported problems, determination of the failure mode and corrective action.  Responsible for corrective action through the completion of the ECO.

  5. Responsible for finding part substitutions for obsolete parts or cost reductions.  This would include the initiation and follow-up on the ECN to implement the substitution.

  6. Help facilitate the implementation of Test Plans required to test new and current products and sub-assemblies. This includes the creation of Test Plans, and documentation of Test Plan results

Qualifications
BSME or BSEE Required.
Technical Experience to help design and build test fixtures.
Logical troubleshooting aptitude or experience to help resolve problems with electro-mechanical instrumentation.
Design aptitude to help with creating solutions to problems found with electro-mechanical instrumentation.
