The Communications Office at NC State’s College of Natural Resources is now hiring two student photographers to cover college-sponsored events and other subjects on an as-needed basis for the college’s news site and social media channels. These positions will require successful applicants to remain on the payroll from February 2025 to November 2025. Student photographers will not work during university holidays and breaks, including spring break, summer break, fall break, Thanksgiving break and winter break. A contract extension may be made available to those who meet or exceed expectations after the initial six month employment period.
Requirements:
- Must be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student at NC State.
- Must use your own camera equipment and photo editing software. A DSLR or mirrorless camera with at least 20 megapixels is required.
- This position pays $12/hour.
- Student photographers are responsible for their own schedule and work time. The work varies each week, meaning that some weeks have many events and some weeks have no events.
- Edited photos from each event are due to your supervisor 24-hours after each event. Timeliness is important for photos used on the college’s social channels.
- Any video experience is preferred, but not necessary.
