Not Your Average Summer
This summer, students from the NC State College of Natural Resources are participating in internships, co-ops and volunteer programs across the country — from Raleigh to Wyoming — in order to gain hands-on experience and a better understanding of their areas of study.
We recently spoke with nine students to learn more about how their summer experiences have prepared them for future success in the college and beyond. Check out their stories below and discover how they’re applying classroom knowledge in the real world.
Victoria Fuda
Victoria Fuda is a senior majoring in parks, recreation and tourism management. This summer, Fuda is participating in a sustainable hospitality internship at Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming. Click here to read about her experience.

Trey Jeffers is a junior majoring in fisheries, wildlife and conservation biology in the Department of Forestry and Environmental Resources. Melzer Morgan IV is a junior majoring in sustainable materials and technology and minoring in environmental sciences, business administration and graphic communications. Kelvin Borges is a sophomore dual majoring in paper science and engineering and chemical engineering in the Department of Forest Biomaterials.
