The College of Natural Resources’ Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (CNR-SURE) offers hands-on research, mentorship and career-building experiences for undergraduates in a supportive, community-focused summer program.

About

The College of Natural Resources will offer its fourth annual Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (CNR-SURE) in June and July. The program is designed to enhance undergraduate research and foster community building. It helps students connect with faculty and fellow undergraduate researchers from diverse backgrounds while supporting professional development through a range of on- and off-campus activities.

Build community with peers through free lunches held twice a week.
Receive mentoring and guidance on resumes, career development, poster presentations, graduate school applications and more.
Network with students and faculty across programs and disciplines.
Prepare and present a research poster at the Summer Undergraduate Research Symposium.
Complete laboratory and research safety training.
Earn certification in Responsible Conduct of Research training that can be added to a resume or CV.
Have the opportunity to earn a microcredential through participation in summer workshops that can be featured on LinkedIn, resumes and CVs.

Location

The program takes place at the College of Natural Resources, with sessions held in Jordan Hall Addition and Biltmore Hall. Specific room locations will be shared in advance.
