From quiet study spots to social gathering areas, the College of Natural Resources offers spaces where students can relax, connect and get work done.

  • The Affirming Space, located in Room 2022 of Biltmore Hall, offers a quiet, calming place to pause, breathe, reset or simply sit in peace. It is available to students who may be feeling overwhelmed, managing stress or anxiety or who just need a quiet moment before class or a meeting. Explore the space with a 360-degree view.
  • The Biltmore Computer Lab, located in Room 3032 of Biltmore Hall, is available as a drop-in space when classes are not in session. It offers computers with software needed for classwork, including Microsoft Office Suite, and printers for general and poster printing. Follow these instructions to request poster printing.   • The Dogwood Courtyard, adjacent to The Grove, offers power outlets and Wi-Fi. Explore the space with a 360-degree view.
  • Elements Cafe, located on the first floor of Jordan Hall, features Caribou Coffee beverages and offers fresh bakery items, bottled beverages, sandwiches, wraps, pastas, salads and snacks. Explore the space with a 360-degree view.
  • The Grove on the ground floor of Biltmore Hall, formerly referred to as the Beanery, features vending machines, tables and comfortable seating. Explore the space with a 360-degree view.
  • The Jordan Hall patio includes picnic tables for studying or socializing in front of Jordan Hall. Explore the west side and east side of the space with a 360-degree view.
  • The Natural Resources Library, located on the first floor of Jordan Hall, provides research and instructional support for all degree programs. Students can use Tripsaver to request materials from other NC State Libraries and Triangle-area libraries for pickup at the Natural Resources Library.   • The Nest, located in Room 2024 of Biltmore Hall, is a lounging area open to all students when not reserved. Student groups and organizations can reserve it for meetings, videoconferences or events. The room seats 23, with a videoconference area that seats 12.   • The Pulp and Paper Labs Courtyard, located behind the Pulp and Paper Labs at 431 Dan Allen Drive, offers picnic tables for studying or socializing. Explore the space with a 360-degree view.
