Recently, we spoke to a few of our students and asked them to describe #NCStateCNR in just seven words. Check out what they had to say.
Our own Dr. Sunkyu Park recently received the 2025 Andrew Chase Award from the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. 🎉

This prestigious award recognizes Dr. Park’s contributions to the field of forest biomaterials and his leadership in advancing research and education in his field. He has been working to turn waste from the pulp and paper industry into the biofuel of the future.

Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition, Dr. Park!

Recently, several students, including our own Ellie Boitnott, shared their research and creativity in a unique way at D.H. Hill Jr. Library. 🎨 🔬

At the annual Sidewalk Symposium, undergraduate students shared their research through sidewalk chalk drawings and informal presentations. During the symposium, Boitnott, a senior majoring in environmental sciences, presented her research on climate change and mental health.

“This kind of builds off of research I did last semester for a senior capstone course. It was all about social media eco-anxiety — anxiety caused by climate-related social media, and how it affects our mental health. And so this was more just general mental health and climate change.”
