Your Gifts in Action

The Natural Resources Enhancement Fund plays a pivotal role in our ability to respond swiftly to emerging needs and seize unique opportunities for our students and faculty.

The Natural Resources Enhancement Fund

Through the flexibility of this fund, we can enhance our students’ experiences, reduce their financial burden, and ensure that we graduate career-ready professionals.

Thanks to donor contributions, we have been able to:

  • Support Student Scholarships: Your gifts have funded first-year and transfer student scholarships, ensuring that talented individuals have access to quality education regardless of financial circumstances.
  • Enhance Student Well-Being: With support from this fund, the college hired an in-house mental health counselor dedicated to supporting our students, promoting their well-being and improving academic success. In addition to 1:1 counseling, he holds walk-in hours, group discussions and wellness programming.
  • Improve Student Success: Through your generosity, we made enhancements to our collaborative spaces for teamwork and community building and provided opportunities for travel and professional development, enabling our students to present their work at conferences, engage globally and enhance their expertise.

Supporting Student Success

“It’s a privilege to serve College of Natural Resources students who are navigating topics like healthy work-life balance, increasing movement and time spent outdoors, and the significant environmental challenges that face our planet. I’m honored to serve students that want to play a role in solving such significant problems.”
– William Hitt, College of Natural Resources Embedded Counselor
