CNR Summer Undergrad Research Experience

About

The College of Natural Resources will offer its third annual Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (CNR-SURE) in June and July. The program is designed to enhance undergraduate research and foster community building. It helps students connect with faculty and fellow undergraduate researchers from diverse backgrounds while supporting professional development through a range of on- and off-campus activities.

Students are nominated and enrolled by faculty for the program.

Why should I enroll my students?

Students will:

  • Gain diverse perspectives on research that can help guide future career paths.
  • Build community over free lunches twice a week.
  • Receive mentoring and advice on resumes, career development, poster presentations, graduate school applications and more.
  • Network with peers from other programs.
  • Prepare and present a research poster at the Summer Undergraduate Research Symposium.
  • Receive safety training.
  • Complete Responsible Conduct of Research training and receive certification that can be added to their resume
