Pack the Polls and Post-Election Support Spaces

Election Day 2020 is finally here. Sixty-eight percent of American adults say that the 2020 U.S. presidential election is a significant source of stress in their life, according to a recent survey from the American Psychological Association (APA) and Harris Poll. NC State’s Pack the Polls Coalition was created in 2016 to increase voter registration and election turnout.

If you haven’t voted, you still can. The NC State Board of Elections can help you find your polling place – TODAY.

Post-Election Support Spaces

The university has created post-election student support spaces via Prevention Services and The Counseling Center. Also, the Office of International Services will host Let’s Chat: Election Debrief drop-in spaces for international students to get support around wellness issues.

Pack the Polls Ambassadors are also calling on students who are looking for community space for students by students. They invite students to participate in conversation in a space that values respect and dialogue.
