Pathway to Success
Our students gain real-world experience long before graduation and leave with a sense of civic and social responsibility.
Whether you want to plan outdoor adventures, manage professional sporting events or work in a national park, you’ve come to the right place. NC State’s Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management provides a unique undergraduate experience that will put you on the path to a successful and rewarding career.
No matter which degree program you choose, you will enjoy a practical education that combines theory and classroom instruction with hands-on experiences and real-world research. From program planning and marketing to budgeting and policy, you will develop the skills to land a job with nonprofits, national parks, tourist destinations, and sport venues and teams.
Housed in one of the smaller colleges on campus, our department offers a personable and friendly atmosphere where you will benefit from one-on-one interactions with faculty experts.
