The John and Joan Markham Tourism Marketing Award was presented to PRTM Senior, Micaela Nardino at the Travel and Tourism Research Association (TTRA) Marketing Outlook Forum this month in Houston, Texas. This annual event brings together tourism research professionals from around the world.

An international organization of academics and practitioners in the tourism research field, TTRA offers the Markham award to undergraduate students who are passionate about tourism.

Nardino is a senior in NC State’s department of parks, recreation and tourism manager majoring in parks, recreation and tourism with a concentration in sustainable tourism and a minor in environmental science. She is also a CNR Ambassador,
