Parks, Recreation & Tourism Management Majors
B.S. in PRTM – Program Management Concentration
Utilizing best business practices, such as marketing, budgeting and programming, leisure professionals work to enhance the community’s image by creating quality recreation programs and events that address societal concerns – such as physical health, juvenile delinquency and economic sustainability in the community that they serve.
B.S. in PRTM -Sustainable Tourism Concentration
The tourism profession consists of planning, marketing and promoting tourism that is rooted in nature, culture, heritage and sports. Tourism professionals attract visitors to tourism destinations and conservation areas in order to create healthy, economically sustainable communities.
B.S. in PRTM – Park & Natural Resource Concentration
Educate society through interpretive nature programs, monitor visitor impact on the places you love and learn to design hiking and biking trails using technology. Educate the public, provide programs for youth and assess the environment to ensure economic, cultural and ecological sustainability.
B.S. in Sport Management
Sport is big business, whether it’s getting people to play or to watch. From facilities and staff management to marketing, promotions and sales, this major is not for spectators. Help create an environmentally responsible and economically sustainable industry. Gain specialized skills to manage the demand in this fast-paced, increasingly “green” business.
B.S. in Professional Golf Management
Master the business fundamentals of golf including marketing, finance, merchandising, instruction and tournament operations in this PGA-accredited program. From keeping members happy, to teaching others about golf, prepare to be successful in all areas of the golf industry.
