From scholarships to internships, the College of Natural Resources helps connect students in the Golf Management program with all the tools they need to succeed.

Program Requirements
Handicap: Students need a handicap of 12 or below. Students must provide a copy of their GHIN/handicap scores from their local golf facility. Students may provide documentation of successfully passing the Playing Ability Test (PAT), in addition to the handicap verification, if applicable.
Letter of Recommendation: This letter must be from the student’s golf coach or a PGA professional explaining why the student would be a great fit for our program.
Scholarships
PGA Assistance Fund: This is open to PGA members’ children and grandchildren. Apply now.
LPGA Foundation: We have various scholarships available for students. Apply now.
NC State Pack ASSIST: Shortly upon admission, first-year students are encouraged to apply for all available university, departmental and program-specific scholarships through Pack ASSIST, NC State’s scholarship portal. Current students should also continue to apply each year for similar awards through this same process. Check out our PRTM Departmental Awards for a closer look.
NC State PGA GM Scholarship: We offer various opportunities throughout the calendar year based on merit or need. For more details, contact our Director Dr. Robb Wade .

Internships
Students complete 16 months of required internships at golf facilities around the country and world under the direction of Class A PGA professionals. We work with more than 600 facilities, including the Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in New York, Pebble Beach Resorts in California, Pacific Pine Sports Group in China, NBC’s Golf Channel and Stitch Golf.
