Computer Labs
Biltmore 3032, CNR’s instructional computer lab, is open to all students taking courses within the college. Located on the third floor of Biltmore Hall, the facility includes a 24-seat main lab, a drop-in lab with 4 PCs and a collaboration table with a PC connected to a wall-mounted display, and 6 high-performance workstations. The main lab is used for classes and is open to students whenever no class is scheduled, while the drop-in lab is available to all CNR students during lab hours.
The high-performance workstations are equipped with dedicated graphics cards and are available for NC State esports teams as well as GPU-intensive coursework. These workstations have a separate software setup from the lab computers: they include games for esports use and only the coursework software that instructors have specifically requested for them. Software installed on the lab computers is not necessarily available on the workstations.
