Primary Responsibilities: Robert provides oversight for the entire college research operation and serves on the Dean’s Executive Team. His responsibilities include leading and developing the college’s strategic research initiatives, assisting faculty with grant submission and management, representing the college on the university Research Operations Council, interfacing with funders, funding agencies and policymakers, creating and maintaining strategic partnerships, increasing multidisciplinary research collaboration, managing, expanding and diversifying sponsored programs, minimizing research-related risk, monitoring disclosures and management of conflict of interest, and supporting the research missions of the departments, centers, college and the university.

Primary Responsibilities: Cherie provides oversight for the College of Natural Resources Research Office, including supervision of research staff, facilitating training initiatives, and ensuring our office complies with Federal, State and University policies and regulations related to research administration. She also collaborates and coordinates with central units like Sponsored Programs, Contracts and Grants, other college research offices across campus, and Federal, State and Industrial partners.

Primary Responsibilities: Gania manages the Associate Dean’s calendar and ensures the Research Office database and proposal/award files are up to date. She also develops and manages content on the Research Office website and assists with the development of presentations, reports and event planning.

Kimberly McKoy

Primary Responsibilities: Kimberly manages the Pre-award unit and proposal workflow, including overseeing all aspects of proposal development, adherence to cost accounting principles, budget development, Request for Proposal (RFP) interpretation, proposal submissions, and just-in-time sponsor requests. She also collaborates with research offices across campus and ensures that all proposals are processed in compliance with Federal, State, Sponsor, and University policies and regulations.

Primary Responsibilities: Ryan works collaboratively with faculty and staff in all aspects of proposal development, including budget development, request-for-proposal interpretation, application of cost standards, and proposal submission. As a Pre-award team member, he serves as a resource in all matters related to Federal, State, Sponsor, and University policies and regulations.

Primary Responsibilities: Stefanie manages the Post-award team and monitors all aspects of Post-award processes and grant financials, including HR approvals and award modifications. She also organizes research administration training sections, Post-award coordination and collaboration with other research offices across campus. She is also responsible for subcontract and cost match tracking, financial reporting, award closeouts and coordination of TEARS/Release Time.

Primary Responsibilities: The Post-award accountant manages sponsored agreements for the Department of Forest Biomaterials and the Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management and is responsible for cost match tracking, financial reporting and award closeouts. S/he is also the primary contact for all aspects of Post-award processes for sponsored agreements – including financials, travel authorizations and award modifications.
Wei Ding

Primary Responsibilities: Wei reconciles all grants in the College of Natural Resources, which includes assisting with tracking cost share commitments and award closeouts. In addition, the position processes vendor, award/honorarium payments and sub-award payments; she assists with financial reports and award modifications; and assists the Pre-award department as needed.
