Did you attend NC State Open House 2009? Many prospective NC State students and their families did on Saturday, October 17th. Information sessions were offered on every major, scholarship opportunities were reviewed, faculty gave presentations, and current students shared their perspectives.

Come out and join the NCSU Forestry Club as they host Rolleo 2009, November 21, at Schenck Forest. Rolleo is the Forestry Club's annual forestry and timbersports
competition. It is a long-standing tradition with the club, and this
year will prove to be one to remember. All students, staff, faculty, alumni and friends are welcome to attend...and compete! This year it will be held near campus at Schenck Forest. Details and map...
NCSU SAF Student Chapter takes unconventional way to National Convention

Saturday morning was an unusually early start for members of the NCSU Student Chapter of the Society
of American Foresters who were participating in the annual Wilderness Leadership Trip and SAF National Convention. This year, the Convention was in Orlando, Florida, which led the group on a canoe trip and adventures down on the Suwanee River. Mickey & Minnie joined later.

Changes in the State Health Plan that threaten to penalize some overweight employees starting in 2011 raise the question: What's available at work to help faculty and staff members lose weight and live healthier lives?
Employees in the College of Natural Resources (CNR) are showing what can be done, on their own, to improve their health and fitness. The program, called CNR Fit for Life, was launched last May to give employees in the college a free and easy option for exercising during their lunch break.
