Revy Godehn Awarded First Place for Undergraduate Research at ERN 2025

Dr. Angela Allen, Program Director of the Environmental Resources Water Assessment Training Program (ERWATP), is proud to announce that Revy Godehn has been awarded First Place in the Undergraduate Poster Presentation in the Ecology Division (Earth Subdivision) at the Emerging Researchers National (ERN) Conference, held in Atlanta, GA, from April 4–6, 2025.

Revy, an incoming junior in the Chemical Engineering Program at NC State University, conducts DNA-based research under the mentorship of Dr. Carlos Goller in the Department of Biological Sciences. Her work focuses on understanding the genomic complexity of E. coli found in local waterways—an effort that contributes to broader environmental and public health knowledge. She has been a dedicated participant in the ERWATP since Fall 2024. This accomplishment not only highlights Revy’s talent and hard work but also exemplifies the strength of interdisciplinary collaboration at NC State. Through programs like ERWATP, the university continues to foster the development of the next generation of innovative researchers and scholars.
