Katie uses geospatial analytics to understand how urban policies and plans impact health outcomes, especially those related to physical activity. She develops geospatial methods to measure built environment factors such as traffic calming features, street trees, bicycle lanes, and parks. Interests include partnering with communities, community organizations, and city governments to develop geospatial methods and tools that can impact policy change and improve translation of scientific evidence.
