Study Abroad Trip to New Zealand (2012)

Experience the South Island of New Zealand through this 3.5 week summer study abroad program. Natural environments students explore and study include glaciers, high country mountains and valleys of the Southern Alps, coastal lands, and agricultural areas.

As with the New Zealand study abroad program, students are immersed in these environments, spending approximately 75% of their course in the field.

Students earn 6 credits through PRT 449 (Human Dimensions of Natural Resources in Australia / New Zealand) and PRT 450 (Sustaining Natural Resources in Australia / New Zealand). These courses have been approved by NCSU to fulfill General Education requirements of Interdisciplinary Studies and Global Knowledge.

Study Abroad Trip to Australia (2011)

This 3.5 week summer study abroad experience allows students to visit, explore, and learn about iconic natural resource environments in Queensland, Australia: the Great Barrier Reef, the tropical rainforest, mangroves, and the Outback / Outbush.

As with the New Zealand study abroad program, students are immersed in these environments, spending approximately 75% of their course in the field.
Students earn 6 credits through PRT 449 (Human Dimensions of Natural Resources in Australia / New Zealand) and PRT 450 (Sustaining Natural Resources in Australia / New Zealand).
