Celebrating our Graduating Intern, Sarah Putney

PSE is grateful for the energy, dedication and humor Sarah brought to the department during her time as our intern. She offers her own thoughts here:

“Throughout my college years, I have had the privilege of working as an intern for WestRock, International Paper, Twin Rivers Paper Co., and Nalco Water. During the school year, I would work as the Paper Science and Engineering department recruitment intern. Post graduation, I will be working for Nalco Water, an Ecolab company, in South Carolina as an associate district representative.

I initially sought out the PSE recruitment intern position as a way to become more involved with the program after my first two years of college being disrupted by COVID. The position quickly became one of the most meaningful roles I have taken on, and has allowed me to get information about our wonderful program out to prospective students. “

We wish Sarah and her fellow classmates enormous success and congratulations for attaining their PSE degrees in December 2023!
