Paper Science and Engineering “Future Ready” Intiative
Breaking News!
Fellow paper science and engineering graduates, friends, and advisory board members, it is our honor to announce the kickoff of the NC State University Paper Science and Engineering Future Ready Initiative!
This initiative is the result of over a year of strategic planning, at the college, department, industry, and advisory board level, for the future of the PSE program. As an applied engineering program, the time has come to position the program for the future as we have adapted it in the past to prevailing industry needs.
This initiative seeks to raise funds to:
1. modernize and expand student spaces for recruitment and retention,
2. modernize our labs and pilot machine to meet current and future demands, and
3. expand our teaching capability into the cutting edge of renewable biomaterial adaptation and conversion.
We sincerely hope that you will consider coming along for the ride as we transform the PSE program into the world’s leading program for cellulose fiber utilization. Our goal is for the Department of Forest Biomaterials to be unique in the western hemisphere- tree to full end use sustainable conversion. Please review our informational brochure which outlines some of the specifics for the initiative. We have ambitious goals to reach. These goals ensure a vibrant, relevant, and growing program for the future.
