PSE Students Selected for Prestigious Leadership Program

Two Paper Science and Engineering first-year students were recently selected for the Caldwell Fellows leadership program on campus.  This program is one of the oldest, most unique, and most successful university leadership development programs in the country.

Dylan Dees (left, above) is from Durham, NC.  About his selection, he said “I’m truly honored to have been selected as a Caldwell Fellow. This opportunity means a lot to me, and I look forward to joining a community focused on leadership, service, and personal growth. I really look forward to building meaningful relationships and learning from those around me to make a positive impact in my time at State!”

Sam Addition (right, above) is from Waxhaw, NC.  He said, “I am honored and excited to have been selected as a Caldwell Fellow. I hope to successfully represent both Paper Science & Engineering and the Caldwell Fellows and to make meaningful contributions to each program.”

Application to the Caldwell Fellows program is highly competitive.  347 applications were submitted this year, and 30 Fellows were selected.  Having two PSE students in that group is strong evidence of the outstanding caliber of new students being recruited into PSE. Congratulations to both Dylan and Sam!
