None yet, but this summer I am hoping to do an internship with Evergreen Packaging in Canton, NC
Why did you choose Paper Science and Engineering (PSE)?
My hometown is a paper mill town, and I grew up hearing a lot of negative misconceptions about the paper industry. I wanted to learn the truth about the industry and learn how I could help improve it.
What is your favorite thing about Paper Science and Engineering?
The amazing people that are passionate about leading the industry into a more sustainable future.
What is your favorite thing about NC State?
The amazing opportunities, followed closely by the libraries.
What advice would you offer to an incoming freshman?
I was really nervous because NC State is such a big campus, but the small groups and clubs that I joined really made the campus feel much smaller.
What would people be surprised to know about you?
I am also minoring in English because, even though I love math and science, English Literature is one of my secret passions.
Who has been your favorite staff and/or faculty member?
Mrs. Paula Harrod – I first met Mrs. Harrod at the Welcome BBQ at the beginning of my freshman semester, and she quickly became one of my favorite people at NC State. Her office became a safe space where I knew I was always welcome to talk if I was having a difficult time. The PSE program is blessed to have her!!
