Paper Science and Engineering & Chemical Engineering
Why did you Choose NC State:
I chose NC State because of the programs it offers, as well as it’s location. I chose the College of Natural Resources because in my hometown, the paper industry is a major employer. I hope to be able to use my Paper Science and Engineering degree to find a job close to my family that allows me to give back to my hometown.
What activities did you participate in during high school? What was you favorite and why?
My favorite extra-curricular activity was by far color guard. I loved that it allowed me to express myself while also staying active. I also loved the people who were on my team, they became like a second family to me. My favorite job in high school was my job as a hostess at a restaurant in my home town. Everyone there was so welcoming and very supportive of my future at NC State.
What are you most excited about as you head to college?
I am most excited to meet new people who have similar interests as me. I am also excited to finally experience life outside of my small town.
What are you most nervous about as you head to college?
I am most nervous to be so far away from my family.
