We will announce our winner and award the plaque at the Foundation banquet on 9/6.
Just a peek below at what Dr. Byrd and Jennifer Piercy engaged in this past weekend – 39 freshman on retreat, complete with a mill visit to International Paper in Franklin, VA. These students are amazing
Update #3- August 22, 2018 – FDOC is here!
For those of you who had to look FDOC up, me included, First Day Of Classes = FDOC! This is the class period between PSE 425, Bioenergy & Biomaterials Engineering, taught by Dr. Richard Phillips and PSE 415, Paper Industry Strategic Project Analysis taught by Dr. Ronalds Gonzalez (if you look closely you can see them both). Having students back on campus brings so much energy, enthusiasm and fun (plus traffic). This energizes the faculty and staff beyond belief to hear about all of their great summer internship stories, the concepts they learned, the places they traveled, etc. Each of you are a part of that legacy.
Much progress to report and some great JUMPS on the leaderboard this past week!
Class of 1983 moved 5 spots from 11th to 6th
Class of 2005 moved up 4 spots from 14th – 10th
Class of 2011 moved up 2 spots from 10th – 8th
The top 5 remain unchanged with 1977, 67 and 68 taking the top 3 spots and 1982 and 2015 rounding out the top 5.
We’ve added two more classes with participation totals over 20%
There was a 7.5 % increase from last week in total alumni participating and we are now at 13.1% total participation.
The Classes of 2015 and 1983 have the largest total numbers participating at 10 each per class.
Thanks to all and 10 days to go!
