Record Turnout at the Pulp and Paper Annual Event

This year, we were pleased to host a record number of companies (26) at our Paper Industry Career Fair and a record number of attendees (332) at our celebration banquet. Many thanks to all of the faculty and staff who helped with these events.

The foundation advisory committee held a successful board meeting where we signed three new scholarship agreements. One if from alumnus Mike Dennison (class of 1975), is for students who maintain a 2.75 TGPA or higher and have overcome obstacles during their college career such as putting themselves through school, or other significant outside obligations. The second is from mother daughter pair Clark Hight (Class of 1986) and her daughter Alex, who will graduate this December. This award has preference for out-of-state students with special consideration given to students underrepresented in the College’s population. The final agreement is a scholarship made possible by the pulp and paper advisory board and is an award for rising juniors and seniors who show dedicated service and leadership to our program, department and/or foundation.

Thanks again to all who helped make these wonderful events possible!
