Why did you choose Paper Science and Engineering (PSE)?
When I learned about PSE, I thought it was a really interesting major to go into, and thought I would try it out. I stayed in the program not just for the content of the courses, but also because of the amazing people that I have met and the opportunities I have been given.
What is your favorite thing about Paper Science and Engineering?
My favorite part about PSE is the close-knit community that I have formed with my classmates and professors.
What is your favorite thing about NC State?
I love how open and kind everyone on campus is; I can easily walk up to another student and start an engaging conversation. As an out of state student, this is important! And of course, some Howling Cow ice cream 🙂
What advice would you offer to an incoming freshman?
Don’t be afraid of what the world has to offer. There are so many opportunities, and this is the perfect time to try things that you never thought you would…or could.
What would people be surprised to know about you?
I love to do anything art related, whether its painting or going to museums. They are great stress relievers, which is much needed while in college.
What has been your greatest challenge?
My greatest challenge has been, instead of getting stuck on the little details, I need to focus on the big picture, and what I need to do to get there. This has really helped with my goals personally, and with school.
