Fall Board Meeting and Career Fair Move Online

With mixed emotions, we have decided to take our Fall Pulp and Paper Advisory Board Meeting and our Paper Industry Career Fair 100% online.

While we know this is the right adjustment to make for our corporate partners, board members and University community, we will miss seeing everyone in person.

Pulp and Paper Advisory Board Meeting

Our fall board meeting will take place from 9 am to 12:15 pm ET on Tuesday, September 1, 2020. Our board meetings are open to the public and anyone is welcome. Additionally, our committee meetings will be held virtually, prior to September 1. If you, or someone you know is interested in becoming more involved with our board, program or any of our committees (corporate development, scholarship, alumni relations, annual meeting planning, or program advisory), please let us know as we will be happy to connect you. More information will be available to you in the coming weeks on our events website. Check back here for the agenda and the information to join us. If you have any additional questions or need more information please contact Jennifer Piercy at 919-515-7709 or jmpiercy@ncsu.edu.

Paper Industry Career Fair

We are excited to be able to partner with Career Fair Plus to bring our students and corporate partners a virtual career fair experience like no other. The Paper Industry Career Fair will still take place on Tuesday, September 1, 2020. We have expanded the time range from 3 to 8 pm.  We are also hosting an info session for all corporate partners who are considering or confirmed for participation. This session will be held Thursday, August 6 from 11:30 – 12:30 pm ET and will be recorded. Participate using this zoom link.  Check our events website for more information.

Fall Recruiting and Interviewing

Our team’s goal this fall is to ensure that our students and corporate partners have the best possible experience they desire. We are prepared to have in person or virtual pre-nights and interviewing sessions. Our team is working hard to meet your needs, as well as the student needs. Ms. Brittany Hayes, our career services specialist, will be coordinating these efforts. You can expect to hear from her in the near future to solidify your plans for the fall. Thank you for your patience as we work to make accommodations for everyone in this changing landscape. Ms. Hayes can be reached at brhayes2@ncsu.edu.

As always, we thank our alumni, corporations and industry partners for their continued support of our program and students.
