Why did you choose Paper Science and Engineering (PSE)?
I joinedPSE because of the letter I received about scholarships and then the upper classmen I talked to. I choose to stay because of the broad opportunities and the large variety of things to learn about. The people and connections in this program are incredible and make up a wonderful department.
What is your favorite thing about Paper Science and Engineering?
My favorite thing about PSE is the communityincluding faculty, alumni, and fellow students. Everyone is extremely welcoming and fun to talk/work with.
What is your favorite thing about NC State?
The NC State pride. No matter where someone ends up they are always a part of the Wolfpack. GO STATE!!
What advice would you offer to an incoming freshman?
Don’t be afraid to try new things. This is true even if it’s something you may not like. It will always serve as a learning opportunity, fun memory, or a good way to form connections.
What would people be surprised to know about you?
I have a second degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and I took German throughout high school.
Who has been your favorite professors?
Dr. Jameel and Dr. Lavoine. They both are fun to talk with and work on a variety of interesting projects.
