Mehlenbacher Family Scholarship Established

The Mehlenbacher Family scholarship was created in December of 2023 by 2011 alumnus Doug Mehlenbacher and his wife Danielle.  This scholarship is a merit based award for students in Paper Science and Engineering.  

Doug and Dani’s goal is to provide resources that will help attract engineering students to study Paper Science, as was his experience at NC State.  Like so many of us, had we not been enticed by the offer of a scholarship, we would not be here today.

Doug started his career with Rayonier Advanced Materials in Jeup, GA and then Jacksonville, FL.  He completed an MBA in 2016 from the University of Florida. He is now a senior integrated business planning consultant, working in the supply chain arena for heavy industry.
