Forest Biomaterials Hosts Congressional Staffers
On Wednesday, August 14, 2024, a group of North Carolina Congressional staffers, as well as a few NCSU research and extension administrators, took a tour of the varying College of Natural Resources’ departments. Paper Science and Engineering hosted a behind the scenes look at our facilities, including the Wolfpack baby paper machine and Hodges labs. Informing the group of the department’s sustainability efforts, paper science economic impacts and its related industries in North Carolina were primary objectives of our tour hosts.
Thank you to those who organized, attended and spoke for this event, including Angela Rush, Allen Sanders, Joel Pawlak, Ronald Marquez, Perry Peralta, Paul Frederik Laleicke, Rico Ruffino, Daniel Saloni, and Ilona Peszlen. Your efforts are definitely appreciated by the department and the college.
